Yester-night

Yesternight on my bed, as I lay
the ceiling turned dark
Memories gathered and began to say
I heard them clearly as a lark

They showed me the moments I spent,
the life I'd lived before
It made life here a bore
It asked, who's there to vent ?

Thirsty soul
wants adventure
Mirage is what it gets
On the whole
was this venture
a fish-caught-in-the-net ?

It laments and asks
"Even when I am on the right path,
did I meet the people wrong ?
Indecision now basks
Should I've taken the LEFT path ?
Here, do I really belong ?? "

How can a dog live with a cat ?
How can a cat live with a rat ?
Exceptions are everywhere, I know that
However, I would rather kill the pestering gnat "

It was hightime. I shook my head
the mind needed to be the real world so,
I got up startled from the bed
and tried to pacify the mind's row.

I gave my mind
An invisible slap
Told it to think
of the bright side
Made it realize, it'd gone blind
And been a silly chap
After a wink
Stupid thoughts were forced to hide

I needed to talk
The mind was in a shock
I needed to take over
Craziness had started to hover

A conversation with my mind
Was a lil' of this kind

"Needed was this step one
Required to set you free
Dear, time to forget the fun
& climb the coconut tree

Friends n family were/are/will be there for you
But, some things are to be dealt with on your own
This bitter fact is undeniably true
Boy, come out of your comfort zone !!!

Surely, there wil be pals new
But, you've just spent here days few
The more here you'll live
More buddies, this place will give

Stop this baby's cry
Time will restore it all
Just go ahead and try
Now, colleagues are here to stop your fall :) "

The mind - now fully awaken,
Started smiling, that to grounds it was taken

Nodding that this was just a ghastly sight
It got lost in the dreams of the night
It got relieved of its plight
Phew!! Time to sleep tight,
Good night ;)
